I have a different philosophy about the days, no matter when they are. Probably because I'm closer to "this side" of 60 than "that side" of 50, I see each day as a gift. I suppose the way I live my life is quite like that now. There are gifts all around me and they are free! In truth, waking up to enjoy another day is a gift. I try to make each 24 hour day count as often as I can even if I nap through it. It's all for a reason, which is normally to get myself healthier, or more fully awake to take care of the fam and have fun at the crafts table.
Speaking of having fun ... I am again working on the glass-on-glass mosaic. The summer cold has subsided a bit, thank goodness and life is getting back to normal.
Yesterday I was working on listings on Etsy and have been diligently studying tags, tweaking descriptions, moving photos around, changing some prices (some items were increased), adding free shipping to other things and so on. Suddenly, mid-afternoon, I pushed myself away from the computer and grabbed my nippers and the stained glass and went to it.
One hour of work - finished the breast plate and added the hand |
Another hour of work - added detail lines in glass under the hand, across chest and down the side |
The newest item in my shop is a pair of wooden taper candle holders in a star shape that now has some mosaic magic. I really think these are cool.

Enjoy the weekend, enjoy the day.
Stay peaceful,

I'm the same way -- a little Etsy shop fooling with or team happenings, a little crochet! (I think I'm on the "inside" side of 60, LOL!) I've always wanted to try mosaics -- perhaps I will one day! Love the star candle holders!
Thanks, Sarah! Mosaics are lots of fun; give it try!
