Trendy Tuesday
I really like my Trendy Tuesday Treasury this week. I hope you like it too.
This week I'm loving neutrals. I think they are the most soothing colors to relax in, sleep around and rejuvenate my happy soul with. Here's a few more delights I found and want to share that aren't in the treasury from Etsy. Next weeks trendy treasury may be dedicated to a spa day. Sounds good to me! Birthday Weekend!
It's my Birthday Weekend! Yay!!! Well, it hasn't started officially yet, but it's close!
I wanted to share what I do on the date of my birth every year. Because it is a "new year" for me as I'm one year older and beginning a whole year around the sun at this age until the next time, I use this day as my "New Year". I don't celebrate January 1st as the new year in the typical way, but traditionally we do still celebrate it and it IS a new calendar year. That's why I started giving myself a new set of goals, resolutions and dreams to shoot for starting on September 22nd instead of January 1st. It's a new year for me!
And of course the Autumnal Equinox is on September 22nd. The first official day of Fall. My favorite definition comes from thefreedictionary.com: "Astronomy: the point, lying in the constellation Virgo, at which the sun's ecliptic intersects the celestial equator". It's no wonder I like to design suns, moons and stars and my favorite colors are those we find in the fall season. I was born during a magical time of year.
Because I love any reason to celebrate and I'm so very grateful for all the love I receive all year round, I'm sending any folks who purchase an item starting today, September 20th through October 18th (expires at midnight PST) a $5.00 off "Thank You Coupon Code" for any item $60 or more on their next purchase. As I was looking through a box filled with mosaic wall art, I found my old studio sign that I made in 2009! It made me see how far I've come in teaching myself how to mosaic and what tess I like to use the most. Much fell off around the outer edge but there is always something in the studio to replace the empty spaces with!
Another gentle reminder of the fund raiser still going on to help me keep my online business going without too many hiccups or heartaches. If you can donate, please do. If you can't, it's okay; trust me I understand! Struggling with such a limited income myself makes it hard to be able to donate to all of the people who ask for one. Some are much more deserving or have a much more dire situation than I do.
In return for your donation if it's in the Reward Level Range ($25-$300), you will receive a mosaic made especially for you as a Thank You gift.

Promo Thursday
I haven't done an official promo on one item in a while. I've been so busy sharing new things each day but I think a shout out for something that's not quite as new needs some TLC too.
So, without any further ado, I would like to share a Made To Order item quite popular in my Etsy shop.
☮ This listing is for a MADE TO ORDER CUSTOM ORDER ONLY for one mosaic crescent moon wall hanging. We'll work together to create your custom made Crescent Moon in the colors you desire (limited to 3).
☮ Color choices (limited to 3 - a few examples are shown here of the 8 inch crescent moon) in stained glass and mirror will be discussed at time of order. The design of 3 swirls cannot be altered. Please note the design will be slightly different as each custom ordered mosaic is made at the time of request. All stained glass and mirror are hand cut by me. Keep in mind it may take 3-6 weeks to do a custom order. Please allow the time for the mosaic magic to happen!
A Certificate of Authenticity PDF will be sent through email once work is completed.
One of my favorite mosaic designs to create is shared once again here. I've dubbed this one "Vincent's Moon" when done in all blues because my family says it looks similar to Van Gogh's style and color choices for one of his most famous paintings.
A night sky with swirling clouds all in blue stained glass. All glass was hand cut to fit the design. Grouted in an awesome shade of plum and sealed, the sides are tiled in blue glass and the back is painted in black.
Ready for hanging with a felt pad at the base to protect your walls from getting scratched.
And a note about Studio News: I'm in the process of photographing all the dot painted crosses. This is time consuming and one reason why I thought it might be a good idea to bring back Promo Thursday! Here's a quick look at one just listed this morning.
Each one (I have 20 dot painted) is getting their special attention from me for the next few days. Yay!
