In The Studio - Part Two

I've got more to share of doodles and mosaics! I'm really hoping I can handle the grouting process this weekend so I can get a few of things I've done over the past few weeks listed on Storenvy.

mandala - watercolor (pencils)

spheres - watercolor (pencils and crayons)

"The Watchguard of the Faery Kingdom" - ink (look closely you'll see small windows and houses within the tree and branches)

"Sweet Sleep" - ink

Mr Owl has keyes for eyes and ears and is ready for the grout pile! Isn't he cute?!

Watercolor pendants all finished!

Ink pendants - I really like these a lot. :)

Watercolor pendants - wip - These still need sealing and bails added. Not as much in love with this set. Next set will wait for the new supply of ink pens to arrive.

Hot air balloon - wip - 8-1/2 x 6 inch wooden plaque -
nipped stained glass, mirror and dishes with ceramic nano tiles

Expiring Soon!

A new addition to the daily posts, "Expiring Soon!" is to share items that will be gone from Etsy once they expire. If you see something here that you like but can't decide whether you want it right now and it expires from Etsy before you've had the chance to make up your mind, please let me know. Just a simple description of the item in an email letting me know you're interested is enough. Send inquiries to: earthmothermosaics@yahoo.com or cindywhitephotos@gmail.com respectively.

Today is the last day for the art pendant sale! Get any pendant for $20 today only.

Etsy Shop - Art Pendant Sale
Here's what's expiring in EarthMotherMosaics on October 15th:

Mosaic Gazing Ball 10.5 Inches - $135.00

A great focal point, this gazing ball I call "My World", can be placed on a pedestal and set in the center of a table surrounded by candlelight for a special event but pretty enough to be the centerpiece of your table or windowsill every day. The glitter under the tempered glass sparkles in the light. It's absolutely exquisite. A single globe sitting on a stone pedestal near sunlight adds elegance to your home. A wrought iron holder gives strength where ever it is placed.

Layaway is available on this item. Contact me for more information.

Expiring on October 15th in our sister shop, Cindy White Photo Art:

Pillow Cover - Grow, Bloom, Fly - $30

Art Print - 10 x 8 inches - Never Stop Looking Up - $25

Clock - Grow, Bloom, Fly - $40

Art Print - 8 x 8 Inches - Grow, Bloom, Fly - $25

In The Studio

Last week, I took the week off to finish up some photo editing for the new shop, CindyWhitePhotoArt on Etsy. I also spent some time thinking about Christmas gifts for the fam which should have been started months ago! Darn and yikes!!

In an attempt to get the mosaic juices flowing again, I picked up a few MDF crosses and got to work.

I also grouted the one I made quite a while ago, as well as the flag.

Now it's time to paint the sides and backs of the crosses and hope the Camera Goddess is still with me long enough to get them listed on Etsy. She's tired - she's been working for months without a break!

This morning while looking for the focal for the cross with pique assiette in yellow with blue and white flowers seen above, I came across some things I want to paint and use soon. The first time I discovered polymer clay, I had molds with suns and moons, plus some molds with faces. I used leftover grout in some of them too. Unfortunately the molds are long gone, but one of the grout faces is still with me. I also found a few pieces of polymer clay I made probably around the same time.

These pieces are going to get painted today. Yay!

I've been taking photos of my favorite mosaics that are in my private collection. The mosaics themselves will stay with me for a long time but that doesn't mean they can't be shared in another way. Once I get them all edited, some of them, if not all of them will be available in the new shop as art prints, tote bags, mugs, pillows, placemats, aprons, clocks, lamps and more! Here's a sneak peak called "Expect Miracles" that might be used for some of those items mentioned. This mosaic is one of favorite ones that I've made this year. It makes me smile.
