Friday's Featured Item: Stained Glass Mosaic Suncatcher Holiday Decor

Stained Glass Mosaic, Suncatcher, Green, Red, Light Blue, Upcycled, Recycled, Holiday Decor - Measures 11 1/2 inches
Price: $185.00

This started as a discarded microwave plate we salvaged from the dumpster. Re-purposed, upcycled, reused and recycled is a goal for each mosaic I make. Here is the best reason for my choices. Something once discarded as no longer useful, has a new purpose.

This has a profoundly beautiful fused glass piece in green and red (circa 1985). I've chosen to surround that piece with greens, reds, a little yellow, and some light blue stained glass in hand cut bits and pieces of stained glass and glass gems. Grouted in charcoal and sealed but not waterproof.

Traditionally sun catchers are hung in the window to grab the light, however, my plates are heavy and hanging is not recommended nor do I craft them for that purpose. Instead, place this on a display dish holder as shown in photos (display holder not included) in any room near a sunny window and enjoy the immense beautiful of these colors with the sun shining through.

DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER.

Item price includes shipping, insurance and handling.

As always, thank you supporting handmade this holiday season and all throughout the year!

Be at peace.

Friday's Featured Item: Stained Glass Mixed Media Mosaic

Stained Glass Mixed Media Mosaic, Blue, Green, Upcycled/Recycled, Suncatcher, Birthday, Wedding, Anniversary
Measures 9 inches, Price: $110.00

This started as a discarded microwave plate (with a slight chip/crack in it).

Now, it is used to showcase many items almost all of them re-purposed including buttons, river stones and two unique fused glass pieces (broken).
There is so much to see in this small piece of art. It is soothing to look at, very peaceful in design to give the flowing appearance of water in a stream. Traditionally suncatchers are hung in the window to grab the light, however, my plates are heavy and hanging is not recommended nor do I craft them for that purpose. Looks fantastic sitting in the window as seen in the photos in a display dish holder.

Grouted in a hand blended grey, stones have been treated to give them extra shine. Stand is not included.

Item price includes shipping, insurance and handling.
