Saying Hello

Just in case those who follow missed my announcement that I was extending my respite, I wanted to share a post just saying hello!

My bones have been struggling with the cold weather and some days I don't function at all. I call those days "pain management" days. I don't go to a doctor (no resources for that luxury), but I'm fairly sure it's arthritis as it runs in my family as does fibromyalgia and a few other unpleasant things that cause inflammations and pain.

Moving is good, creating is great, grouting is a miracle. I managed to do all 3 this past week while the temperatures plummeted here on the East Coast. However, there were a few days when walking down/up stairs was not possible.

It's a bad day today (raining and snowing), but I still wanted to share a few things I've listed on Etsy this week in spite of the pain and fog that comes with it.

"Magic Carpet" is made using toothpicks and a small paint brush - 2.5 x 8 inches

"Earth Angels Dance For The Moon" - my small painting of 3 angels dancing on the earth for the crescent moon with wavy clouds around it - 8 x 2.5 inches

Not bad for someone who can't bend her fingers this morning, huh! Everything I shared last week has been grouted. I'll show the rest of what I've done soon.

I've also been adding new items to my 2nd shop when I can. Check it out!

Mosaic Stained Glass Mirror // Wall Art // Abstract // Contemporary // Bold // Red Blue Yellow Green // Wall Decor // Mosaic Wall Art

Mosaic Stained Glass Mirror, 10 x 10 Inches, "Finding The Joy"

Finding The Joy
I made this mirror in 2009, pulling scraps from my work table of glass tiles, stained glass, silver mirror and iridescent stained glass. Glass gems in blue placed on each corner was the only decision I made before starting this. The rest was created as I went (my favorite way to create!) making it abstract in design. Adding a "joy" word stone was how the name of this mosaic came about.

Grouted and sealed for protection. Sides and back painted in black acrylic. Hanging hardware attached. Signed and dated. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Makes a great gift for yourself or someone special.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind piece of mosaic art. Perfect for any room in your home. If you like contemporary design, this makes a great addition to your collection. If you know someone who likes modern art this makes the perfect gift!

Trendy Tuesday

Gosh I love the cool retro, mid-century modern designs from my childhood. I picked some great items from Etsy this week for my Trendy Treasury. "Retro Holidays" has no traditional holiday items in it but instead has items that would be great gifts to give to those who love the designs from the 1960's and 1970's. Check it out!

Retro Holidays
Here's an item from EarthMotherMosaics, my mosaics shop. The photo print shop, CindyWhitePhotoArt doesn't have any retro prints in it ... yet. :)

This flower pot has tons of vintage and retro broken dishes on it. It can be used to hold a self-contained flower or two but it can also be used for pencils, pens, paintbrushes, kitchen accessories, garden accessories and so much more!

Promo Blast!

Mosaic Glass Cross // Stained Glass // Wall Art // Wall Hanging // Home Decor // Bright // Colorful // Mosaic Scrap Art // 9 x 6 Inches

Mosaic Scrap Art is one of my favorite ways to create mosaics. Tiny bits and pieces of stained glass and tiles that many think are no longer useful can be combined together to make colorful mosaics. I love recycling. Isn't it wonderful?!

Keyhole on back makes it ready to hang. Sides and back painted. Signed and numbered (#9).

Picture Day

I've been feeling a bit sad now that all the leaves are brown and dead on the ground around my tree. Instead of taking photos of it this week, I focused on the mosaics I've made that are in my private collection.

I mentioned the other day that I'd decided to use some photos and make them available on Etsy. I've just started looking through some and am having a hard time of it deciding which ones to use. I love them all.

I also need to make a correction about the mosaic "Expect Miracles" which I thought I made in 2013. Turns out it is a year old! How time flies when you are creative!

Here, I'm sharing some detail shots of "Expect Miracles" one or all will be available for purchase on Etsy probably after the holidays.
