Wednesday's Wishes

If I had a wish that I know would come true, I'd wish for help with all the different things I have to do as a "one woman show".

I'm not crazy about taking photos, get them uploaded on the computer/iPhone, editing, posting. I'd rather just do the art.

However, I know I'm very lucky to be able to do those things, at least to a certain degree, without difficulty. And so very grateful for that knowledge.

Right now, I'm uploading photos into Fine Art America of collage work and doodles. At this writing, only a few of each of those are available for purchase, but it's looking good so far!

Here's the first collage I've posted on this site that is also available through FAA on Pixels (they work together to do some of the printing things like mugs, for instance). It's a definite favorite of mine.

Click on the link under the photo to see the array of goodies you can purchase, as well as prints both framed and unframed. As usual I love the pillow covers, tote bags and mugs the best. They are so cool.

As far as wishes go, I also wish you have an enjoyable Wednesday and your week is going well. We are having a LOT of rain and cold weather here in these early days of June. It's a bit of a bummer to try to function when arthritis doesn't like either of those weather situations however, I'm determined (stubborn) enough to keep on going. It doesn't take a lot of muscles or much strength to make a collage, thank goodness.

Right now, that's where I'm headed ... to make a few collages! Yay!!

Enjoy the journey.

Promo Blast!

I'm giving some love to the Handmade at Amazon site this morning. I made a sale recently, the first on that site! Adding a few other items besides made-to-order mosaics was the right decision and I'm slowly adding more as I get updated photos of my art. It takes time but a good quality photo helps sell my mosaics. Well worth it!

Mosaic Star Jewelry Box And Pendant Set

Mosaic Star Box and Wish Pendant

My mosaic star box called "Wish Upon's" was crafted using all hand cut stained glass in black iridescent glass that shines in the light in a range from yellow to purple and every color in between, just like a rainbow.

It's absolutely beautiful. Grouted in white. The sides of the top and the base are covered in silver mirror cut to fit and grouted in gray.

An acrylic paint is added to the base as well as small felt feet to protect your furniture when placed on a table or dresser. Including with this pretty mosaic box is a tempered glass pendant called "WISH" filled with glitter and sparkle perfect for anyone on your gift list this year.

This pendant comes with a necklace.

This set is so cool.

Everyone needs to make wishes!

The thought behind my "Wish Upon's" is quite simple. Write a wish (small or large) on a piece of paper, put it into the box, believe it can and trust it will come true.

Wish, Believe, Trust, Receive.

Those who believe in magical creatures and little spirits can give them a beautiful mosaic star box to watch over you tucking them away with your wish while you dream.

"Wish Upon's" are not only decorative but they are functional and can hold more than dreams. The small one holds tiny trinkets, push pins, paper clips, fairy dust, etc. They can liven any room in your home, make great gifts or can be placed at your desk in your office if you'd like to gift yourself!

The idea for "Wish Upon's" came to me when I was thinking about making my New Years' Resolutions for 2011. I wrote down a few things and thought how cool it would be to put them in a box or container in the form of a wish. Not only would I believe they could come true, I can trust that they would. By allowing the Universe to take care of these things, we can rest assured we will receive them in time. If you allow these pretty mosaic boxes to hold your dreams while you continue to believe in your goals, nothing is impossible.

Weekend Wrap Up

Fun mosaic crafty week but up and down on the personal front. We had some internet hiccups yesterday and although I had a million-trillion things I could do for the 6-7 hours without a way to connect with the world (or the family because the phone went out too) I spent it having a big ole' meltdown.

I have a wish list. I even used a "Wish Upon's" Star Box to keep it in.

I found this wish list yesterday and instead of trying to find how much I accomplished in the years since I wrote this list, I focused on what I hadn't yet done. I had, what one might call, a Pity Party.

It isn't like me to do that; I work hard to stay in the moments, to appreciate where I am, to stay grateful and always feel blessed. I thank the Universe each morning for another day and thank it again in the evening for it all.

But yesterday was a day for the PLOMS. That stands for Poor Little Ole Me Syndrome that a long ago co-worker used to describe her sister who was the saddest person I had ever met. Nothing went her way and she moaned and groaned about it constantly. I didn't like hearing this kind of voice in my head and what's worse, I went with it instead of finding reasons to rejoice in the day.

Today I'm much happier and I updated my wish list because I realized the things I hadn't yet done, minus perhaps 2 of the things on the list, didn't serve my life now. It occurred to me, as I thanked the Universe for another day this morning, that It is so much wiser than I am. Everything comes to us in the way it's supposed to. Everything happens in exactly the moment that it should. The reasons behind not having all of the goals met on the wish list are simple ones. They don't serve a purpose now. The 2 things that are still important on the wish list got added to the new one and that revised list went back into my star box. Wish Upon's were made for those who have a special wish. Wish, Believe, Trust, Receive.

When I pull the list out next time, I will try to do my best to remind myself that not all wishes come true for a reason. To be grateful for everything, the good and the bad, because it shapes the person I become.

Over at Etsy, I joined in on a fun Weekend Treasury Game for the Strategic Promotion for Success Team. If you have the chance head on over to see the one I made yesterday.
Orange You Glad It's Friday?

I have 4 mosaics waiting at the crafts table for grout today and quite a few boxes of mostly cookie jars to look through, photograph and list on both Zibbet and Etsy in the weeks to come.

Life is good once you let the sunshine into your heart and be thankful for what you have. I have a lot to be grateful for. Including the gift of creating crafty art. Shine on!
