From The Studio - Friday

Grouting was done on the large candle holder and "Let It Snow" over the past weekend. As luck would have it, the person getting the candle holder was at a family gathering we had and so it was delivered to her by hand with much excitement and happiness.

While Asuka was finishing up the flower plate she had to put tempered glass on, I started a new project.

In The Studio - Friday

A little bit ago I was looking out the window at the beautiful leaves in the trees and realized how grateful I am to have an eye for color and design sense to at least a certain degree. My eye was drawn then to the stained glass vases sitting on my windowsill. This, in turn, made me look at my computer where I was editing some photos for my 2nd Storenvy shop which is dedicated to gift and decor items from photos I've taken over the years.

I decided since I'm not doing anything new since the last post from the studio, instead I'd share a pretty collage of items both mosaic and photo items available in my shops on Storenvy and Etsy. Sometimes working in the studio means taking and editing photos for a few days of the things I'm getting ready to list for sale online. This is such a pretty mosaic vase. From top to bottom this mosaic is filled with hand cut pieces. The flower design is surrounded by ball chain, the center focal piece is from an old Depression glass plate. The vase is covered in stained glass in shades of blue-green and purple.

 

 

 

 

The light play from sun or candlelight is intense and truly quite beautiful. Flowers look beautiful in this vase or it can sit on a shelf or windowsill and shine on it's own. Grouted in a blue grout called "Starry Night".
