Mosaic Monday - Mosaic Peace Sign

Materials: dish tiles, glass gems

Height: 8 inches
Width: 8 inches

Another groovy peace sign created in retro cool dish tiles. Flowers in orange, yellow and white hand cut dish tiles surround this 8 inch peace sign and we think it's bright and colorful!

Perfect for anyone, any room, any time of year, all year long.

Grouted and sides and back painted in a complementary color, this has such an awesome retro look to it, a style we especially love.

Many people love peace signs; all ages seem to gravitate toward this sign. It never goes out of style and is always contemporary as well as nostalgic. Gift this to your tween, your grandmother, your boss, your 30-something daughter. Gift yourself. Just because.

A keyhole notch in the back makes this mosaic ready to hang.

Celebrate the gift of peace!

Indoor use only.

Tesserae Tuesday - Flower Dish Tiles

It's now time to start thinking about filling up my shop with favorites for my customers for the upcoming holiday season. Many love the peace signs I mosaic, so I thought I'd start with one this week.

The flower brooch in the center will be added once the mosaic is grouted. This has a nice soft look to it.

I hand cut all the pieces I use and filled the peace sign up with them. It didn't take long to get it finished and ready for the grout pile!

I'm grouting this in white because I think it has a shabby chic look to it. Once it's had grout and finishing touches around the sides and back, I'll add the brooch to it and get some photos to list it on Etsy.
