Promo Blast!

I love stained glass. I love color. I love combining them together to make an abstract mosaic like this one. It is truly a unique piece of mosaic wall art and has so many interesting features in it.

Available through my shop on Storevy. One of my most favorite mosaics, this has a history behind it. The wood on the frame, although primed before the mosaic was placed on had warped after the mosaic was completely finished. I put it in the oven which was a suggestion by an online friend (at a very low temperature, of course) and it straightened the wood. The results were a few fused pieces permanently on the wood and changed the way the grout looked. I loved it!

Stained Glass Mosaic Wall Art - Jewel Tones - FREE SHIPPING Within US - SALE - Item Price has been reduced - $120.65

I love the message to this Stained Glass Mosaic Wall Hanging. Peace, Patience and Happiness word charms have been placed lovingly on this mosaic.

Broken jewelry, an enamel copper circular 'button' in blue with a yellow dot (circa 1960), wonderfully rich looking stained glass, some vintage, in jewel tones of amber, peach, green and blue, brown, red and a few other surprises all blend really well together and grouted. The center holds a mirror that I covered in clear rippled stained glass. My mosaic was made on wood and has a hook for hanging.

Signed and sealed. Measures 10 inches.

Favorited by many, has been shared locally through displays during the years and enjoyed often. Gallery quality mosaic work made affordable here for those who enjoy mosaics. Bright and bold. A definite statement piece of art.

Transitioning

As many of you may know, I'm transitioning my mosaics from Etsy to social media sites like Facebook  Twitter  Pinterest right here on my blog and flickr . They've always been a great source to meet new people and share what I love. I think using these venues to share as I normally would with the added bonus of not sending you on to another site is a great idea.

So, having said all that, you can find a new photo album, page or folder/board on all the above mentioned sites entitled "Art By EarthMotherMosaics 2014". There you will find new art, old art, mosaics, home decor items and gifts too. I'll be adding things slowly in each folder to give folks time to check them out. Don't forget you can request a custom order any time but if you are interested in having a holiday gift made, you only have November to request it as it takes 2-3 weeks to make made to order items.

You'll find items I haven't put on Etsy like 'Spaced':

'Spaced'
15 x 3 inches
Pique Assiette and Ceramic Tiles
And items you've come to love that I made often exclusively for Etsy customers, like this:

Blue Stained Glass Mosaic Candle Holder and/or Vase
3.5 inches
I'm working on a new website that is coming along nicely. At first I thought selling only on the website would be the way to go but it dawned on me recently that using all resources I have available is a much better idea along side the new website. I'm always changing, learning and growing. It's a wonderful thing!

My shop on Storenvy has me perplexed. I'm not sure my mosaics are a good fit for the site but it is still being viewed. I'm fairly sure I'll close it and concentrate on my website and the social media sites. For now, it's open.

As you might imagine, I rely on friends and cyber buddies to share the love. Please feel free to share my mosaics and art to your hearts content but don't forget to mention Earth Mother Mosaics when you do.

Stay with me as I continue to evolve and grow. It's gonna be an awesome journey!

Promo Blast!

MEK the Dancing Kangaroo - Abstract Contemporary Mosaic Wall Art
Available - Contact me for price and shipping info
This 9 x 9 inch contemporary abstract mosaic I have dubbed "MEK" has colors in range from green to pink, blue to red; there's some yellow, orange and purple in there too. Iridescent glass, rippled glass, recycled silver mirror (something I like to use as often as I can) all placed together and grouted. Mosaic was glued into a wooden frame that I painted black. Not for outdoor use. Sealed, signed and ready to hang.

Once completed, I thought it looked like a kangaroo dressed up like a ballerina dancing down the street. Twirling in a big flowing skirt. I liked that thought because it meant that even though I was dealing with a lot of upheaval in my life at the time I created this piece, I could still dance and twirl happily down the street - albeit through my mosaic art - but I'm still dancing!

Contemporary art is universal and has a wide appeal for that reason. I personally love creating abstracts because I have a freedom like no other when I do them. At a time in my life when I was feeling restricted, this small piece of mosaic art gave me freedom. It is a personal choice to have no boundaries when I make mosaics. Staying within the lines isn't an issue if there are no lines!
