Midweek Motivation

I love being motivated! This week so far I've been working on my first Etsy shop. I've added a few new items, visited all teams (close to 60) and spent time making a treasury too. It's actually comforting to work on my Etsy shop; I'm "at home" on this site and even when the site makes changes as I'm visiting teams (like it did on Tuesday) and sharing the love, I still feel most comfortable there. It's good to feel the pull towards all the online shops I have to fix them a little bit and share with teams what's in them on Etsy.

On Storenvy, much of what is on Etsy is there too with more hand painted art work. I'm learning how to make Collections on the shop of my own items and those items I find to "Envy" and then put into a collection. This site is fun and even though there isn't much different in my own shop on it as there is on Etsy, I enjoy hanging out there.

The newest items in Etsy are:

Nautical Peace Sign - 10 Inches

Green Apple Bowl

Next week is my birthday (on Sept 22 I'll be 60) and I've decided to celebrate a bit with a sale on art pendants. I've taken 20% off each pendant and am offering them at this reduced price for a week.

Sale on all Art Pendants
Now is a great time to get a few and tuck them away for future birthday's or the holiday's. These are casual and yet can make a special occasion just a little more special when you add one of these pendants.

I made a treasury featuring some 123team teammates and some awesome items from shops on Etsy. Check it out and comment if you'd like:

On Storenvy, my favorite small art piece is this ATC sized acrylic:

Poppy

Here's one of the items I have in a collection called "Bohemian". Click on this link to see my entire collection. This bracelet is from Lobster Pirate Jewelry. What a great name for a shop!

A New Week Full of Possibilities

Each week I think how fortunate I am to have so many different ideas for crafty things floating around in my head. If I made the same thing all the same, I would be so bored!

As you may remember, I made some pendants last week. Most made the final cut, although a few are either going to be gifted or abandoned (in a good way, since I'm part of the Art Abandonment Group on Facebook) but most will be listed on Etsy.

My favorites have to be the ones using the mini ceramic tiles. I just love how they look!

I made a sale last night that pleased me so much. All sales are wonderful of course, but this one touched my hippie heart. A set of dot painted bottles are heading out this week to a couple having a "Love Ceremony". These are being gifted by another couple sharing in their special day. How cool is that?!

"Kashmir", the wine bottle measures 12 inches high. "Highway Star", the beer bottle measures 9-1/2 inches high. My bottles are named in loving tribute from song titles by the groups Led Zepplin and Deep Purple.
I've started a new Flower Power mosaic on an old ceramic jug I found at the thrift store a few months ago. I thought it would be awesome to put some broken dishes on this but once I got it home, I knew stained glass and mirror in the awesome flower design was needed. I'm adding the outline of each flower first. I love making these flowers. This mosaic will give the old jug a groovy facelift.

The Fun Continues

Yesterday the afternoon was devoted to a new mosaic for a nursery or child's room. It's something I saw in my head a few days earlier when I was sick. Boy was I glad to see it made and in front of me, just as I saw it!

once grouted the bear will be glued on the star
Isn't it cute? I've had that bear for years. It was originally a nightlight that broke along the bottom making it unable to stay in the light holder. I'm so glad I figured out something awesome to do with it!

I grouted all pendants that were in the white pile. I'm getting them edited now and listed before the end of the day. Here's my favorite so far.

Love this pendant - it has a French Country vibe
The best part about doing so many pendants at the same time is studying each one through a photograph. Not all are perfect either pendant or photo but I like them. :)

I've said this before - it takes hours to find the ones I deem good enough to share and I often delete 50-100 photos and retake them before I do. That means the biggest chunk of the day will be doing just that. For me, it's worth it if someone besides me likes what they see.

Have an awesome weekend!
