Ack, these high/low vibes right now (thanks Mercury Retrograde!). It's exhausting.
Of course I have some art to share, as I always will as long as I can create it, but there's a lot going on privately which I have shared on the brand new Private Group Page through my art page on Facebook and it, naturally, affects how I go about my week. However, I can only do so much and I trust the Universe knows what it's doing, even if I can't really see it. I have to believe we will all get through it.
In the meantime, my daughter has set up a fundraiser if you're interested in looking at it. Feel free to share it, as well as my FB Group. The more the merrier!
I'm so excited! If you noticed, the Shop Page is now attached to this blog at the very top you'll see tabs that say "Home" and "Shop Front is Now Open". That will change to simply "Shop Front" next week, but it's there! Yay! There's only a few mosaic peace signs in it right now but as my eyes allow, I will be adding more (they aren't too happy about using the computer these days). PayPal is attached to it but if you're unsure about a purchase, contact me first at the email included in the Shop Front. We can work out payment arrangements. Just let me know. Okay, so after I finished up the Fodder Challenge 2026 month, what fun that was, even if I did lose some paint pens to frost (long story), I found about 4 things I'll do on a regular basis that I didn't do before or take them further than I had in the past. One thing is how I play with my collage cards, another is how I get the flowers, vases, butterflies, and so on that I like to cut out from scrap master boards (mother boards!) for journaling and how I like to use Asemic writing which I know now I can use as flower vases, fishbowls, vessels of all kinds. And of course the best part was having fun making paper dolls and pretty birds with fancy tail feathers. The fodder is growing and that was the point! I want to thank all the creatives and organizers for giving me, especially, the opportunity to afford a month long adventure. I'll be forever grateful as the fodder grows!
Sorting scraps by color can be time consuming and sometimes I get distracted by one particular scrap or small grouping and have to stop to use it. Which is how the cards above are born. But that is the way of the world with a mixed media artist. Always seeing the possibilities and the many ways to use what we have!
I really enjoy taking photos of my mosaics and revisiting them. Somewhere, on an external hard drive or buried deep in my computer, I have photos of everything. But I can't find them because I'm not real good about compartmentalizing these things. Some folders have dates on them which I tried to look through but often found a lot of photos of almost everything else except mosaics. And so, after a day of searching and coming up empty, I decided the point was to get things shared now for those of you who have shown an interest. New photos were made! This little gal is in the Shop and available! Woohoo!
